Churches & Groups
The
Fundraiser Portraits program is well-suited to the fundraising needs
of churches and other non-profit organizations.
Though the initiative,
in order to achieve maximum success, should be specifically tailored
to the needs of the participating organization, the Fundraiser
Portraits program generally works as follows:
A date or dates to hold
the fundraising event are selected. Sometimes the date coincides
with other events held by the organization or, perhaps, a holiday.
Sometimes the date does not. To publicize the event, Frank Kavanagh
provides informational material and displays.
Prior to the event, certificates
are made available for sale to members of your organization for a
nominal cost (e.g., $20.00). Each certificate entitles the bearer
to a professional portrait sitting and an 8x10 color or black & white
portrait . A volunteer or volunteers from your group contact certificate holders
and schedule a time for their sitting. Typically, four to five family sittings
are scheduled for each hour of the event.
Family
Portrait Day
We can photograph any combination of family members that
you desire.

Finally, approximately two weeks later, previews or proofs of the portraits
are made available. At this time families choose their 8x10 portrait, and
place any additional orders they might have.
After all orders and sales
are finalized, the typical organization receives 50% of the net profits
(that's about 40% of the gross). It's that simple.
